UPDATE!
I hope you've been enjoying the game so far! Unfortunately, another pretty major bug has come to my attention, being that if you get eaten by the Stage 4 boss at the same time it dies, the game softlocks. I didn't think this interraction possible, but I was wrong, and for that I apologise. Also, after the last hotfix, i've learnt my lesson in changing up the filenames, so the original unpatched version hasn't been overwritten. However while the unpatched is fully playable, we urge you to play the patched version instead, just incase you come across said softlock and have to restart ^^; I'm incredibly sorry for how rocky the game's launch has been, even for a jam game. I'm still stunned by the positive feedback, however, and am eternaly grateful for your support. I promise, unless there's another massive bug I forgot to feed to the code frogs, that the next update will be a lot more interesting ^^
Fight to take back your size, and take back whats yours!
After the failed attempt at a Gensokyo Revolution, Sukuna Shinmyoumaru woke up, only to realise she's tiny... well, tinier than usual, in fact, a single atom looked bigger than her own body! Someone must have broken the enchantment on the Miracle Mallet that only allows Inchlings to use it, and used it on her! Thankfully, little fragments of the mallets power are scattered around, and she can use them to grow bigger, and take on whoever did this to her! Can you brave this nightmare?
Gameplay Mechanics
While you have the traditional Touhou-style shot [Z/West Button] , you also can choose between 3 special Charge Shots [X/South Button] to really lay on the hurt! You can pick the fast charging but precise Samurai Needle, the technical but powerful Discus Bowl, and the slow but menacing Mundane Mallet (...Shimmy can't exactly use the Miracle one at the moment so this will do). Also, killing multiple enemies with one charge shot gives out extra points, so aim carefully!
Controls
Arrow Keys/Left Stick - Move Z/West Button - Shoot / Select (on menus) X/South Button - Charge Shot (Hold to charge, Release to fire) / Go Back (on menus) Shift/Left Trigger - Focus Escape/Start - Pause
Other notes
It's finally uploaded! Sorry about the late entry, I got a bit sick during the jam window so wasn't able to code for a few days, but better late than never.
The original concept was pretty overscoped and I realised like halfway through making it that there wasn't as much potential as I thought there'd be with the concept, but I think I managed to come out with something solid. I'm proud of how the player controls and systems turned out, and feel like I've learnt a lot next time I make a shmup game.
There was originally meant to be some dialogue and more of a story, but I couldn't exactly meet the deadline with it, so I apologise for that.
